My buddy and I headed out to some Missouri River backwater to see if we could get a nice Greenhead to put on the wall. When we got out there we kicked up about a hundred Gadwalls and threw out 2 dozen RealImage Mallards with 8 Over Size Feeder butts. While we were hunting we had a couple deer hunters come close to us and one of them just sat on a fallen tree right across the creek from us. The other hunters kept walking and they planned on pushing the deer to this guy on the log. I figured this was't going to work very well considering we were set up and shooting ducks right there. We just kept dropping ducks out of the sky and this guy just sat there the entire time. Right after we retrieved a drake Gadwall we noticed somethings running on the otherside of the creek. It took my buddy and I a few seconds to finally recognize what they were but 3 moose were making their across the creek. 2 cows followed by a bull. We were amazed at what we were looking at because we had no clue that moose came down this far into NoDak. We ended this exciting hunt with 6 Gadwalls, 1 BW teal, and 2 GW teal that my buddy is going to mount. It was a great way to end a 5 day weekend.
