Practical Product Uses:
Whether you are hunting small compact sloughs or large bodies of water, the GHG Life-Size Series™ Bluebill decoy offers visibility and realism to catch any speeding diver’s attention. The Life-Size Series™ Bluebill decoys are the best addition to any diver hunting spread. Also, not only do they scream realism with the design and color of the decoy but I love the way they ride in any water conditions with the 60/40 Snap-Lock® Weighted Keels.
Tips for Using the Product:
First, I would decide how you want to rig them up. Diver decoys can either be individually rigged or gang rigged. The individual decoys can be used with GHG’s Braided Decoy Line or Quick-Fix® Decoy Cord and a user friendly Keel Grabber™ weight. To prepare a gang rig, attach a GHG QuickSnap™ Gang Rig Clip to 18” of line attached to each decoy. Then attach the Gang Rig Clip to the main line of the string with anchors securely fastened on each end. I personally prefer running strings of gang rigs for diver decoys. It makes for a fast and efficient way of set up and pick up with a larger number of decoys. I have found that using the 12-slot duck decoy bag works great for a single line of twelve. I also have individually rigged Bluebills with the GHG Stretchee™ Cord and Keel-Grabber™ Weights to add to the spread individually. You can either set up small or set up large. It all depends on the body of water you are hunting.
Additional notes: I truly enjoy diver hunting. I would take a look at the wonderful line-up that GHG offers in diver decoys. I love the fact that GHG offers such a variety and different sizes in diver decoys that allows us, the hunter, to choose and decide what we feel confident with in our spread. Good luck and have a great season!
