With all the rain we had on Thanksgiving my little farm creek looked like the mighty Mississippi!!.....But it also created some great make shift "fllooded timber" Places that were usually high and dry were now under 3 feet of water! With all the new flooded areas I was sure the FB Mallards would be the right play...I found a Nice freshely flooded grass knoll with only about a foot of water..I set out 6 FB feeders and thats it! My dog and I tucked ourselves back into the timber.....All was set...Could only hunt until 7:15 so I had to make it count!...First light brought a couple small flocks of mallards flying High and hard with other spots on their minds.....Next was a pair of big ducks coming low and slow up the creek......Couple toots on the call and 2 drakes came crashing through the trees right into the spread....For a moment I thought I was in arkansas:D I made quick work of them and so did my Pooch Bella....Not a bad way to start the day...To bad I had to work
