Hey guys I plan on getting a canvasback mounted and would like to do some kind of standing mount. If anyone has any pictures you would like to share any help would be appreciated. I am having trouble finding a pose that grabs my attention.

Two ideas other than standing mounts:

1. bird in flight at a quartered angle with its back to you (log or something vertical to mount it on) Give it that real jet fighter look.

2. water mount- profile shot with half the bird above and half below, sort of a sitting bird but on/in the water. Sort of a cross section look of the bird in the water (does that make sense)

I would go with the fighter jet pose, the way he looked when we shot him this morning

The fighter jet pose sounds like the way to go. I have several standing mounts that are excellent but the flyers are my favorite. Congrats on finally bagging that Bull Can, now you won't be so nervous next time one bellies up over the decoys. Like I told Green Timber save a few for us old guys who hunt the weekends.

I have a drake and a hen mounted flying. They are coming at you at a slight angle. If you would like I could post some picks. Just let me know.:D
