View Full Version : Solo hunt sucess.

Went out this afternoon to see what the cold air from the north brought us and I was very pleased with what I found. Seems like we had a really good push of new ducks. Lots of new mallards, canvasbacks, and gadwall. Ducks worked fairly well this afternoon and I managed to shoot a limit. Coldest air this season hope its not the last as I know there are still tons of mallards north of us still to come.

3 gadwall drakes
1 ringneck drake
1 ringneck hen
and 1 BIG bull canvasback that bound for the taxadermist. Hope for a good weekend of shooting. Gonna give em all we can for a couple of days.

Ace was loving his Avery vest. Plan do update him with the boaters dog vest soon.

Nice shoot!

As soon as the cold weather and all the ducks get down here, our season goes into the split. Wish I was out there doing what you are.

I took the pic at dusk sorry the light wasnt to good enough. My batteries were running low on the camera and daylight was eluding me.

Whiskey and Me are you blind? you can see that Can better than any of the other birds, and if you were able to identify birds you could tell what the others were also. Great hunt J State.
