I picked up a dozen of these last week and used them for the first time this weekend. Got them for 10% off paying $22.50 for the dozen. I was impressed with how they looked on the water. They are smaller as I tend to use magnums and super magnums. We had a walk in hunt and wanted to carry a lighter load. These decoys are great as they are light, and look good. I just hope they hold up as you can't beat them for the price.

Thanks for giving these a try. You'll have to post up a picture or two from your hunts.

Thanks for the post, I think they are the best decoy on the market for the money, by far. I use them all the time and they work great.

Thanks for the compliments. The hot buys do look great on the water we use them just for walking in ourselves. Post up some pics when you can.

I love hot buys. First off you ca beat the look of the decoy for the money second, when either swatting cripples or a rookie kid takes a low shot oh well just get some more. Last year my local sporting goods store had a end of season closeout on Avery lifesize decoys for $20 dozen. Needless to say I've got enough decoys for full push days.

Hats off to Avery for making a cheaper decoy that looks great. No better way for a kid to get into the sport. When ever on of my nefews turns 16 they always get some hot buys. I love them.

Thanks for the post. I have been using the Hot Buy Magnums this year exclusively as my Mallard decoys and absolutely love them! I think that every needs to take a look at them...they are my favorite Mallards bar none!

I love the HotBuys's. This past year on one of my trips to North Dakota I hunted over four dozen. They are amazingly easy to transport in our bags. Meaning you can pack a lot in one bag. Also, they ride very nice in the water. I mixed them with some oversize decoys and it really showed different head postures, heights, and body sizes for a more life like set-up. we had no problem bagging ducks over these decoys. And for the the differnt facing duck situation, I just tied a half-hitch at the rear of the decoy and it worked great. I encourage people to try these decoys. I don't think they will be disappointed.
