Got my finisher several seasons ago, during the first season the blind developed wear holes in the floor where the frame joints are. I called Avery Customer Service and they were helpful and suggestested that I take it back to the store where it was purchased and exchange it for a new one. Well..........I screwed around and let the year warranty periord go by without making it back over to Mack's. (Its a 4 hour drive).

So now I need to patch up the holes, because im worried it will puncture my neotub. Was thinking about using a wader patch? Any better ideas?

How big of holes are you refering to? If they are fairly small try the UV wader fix in the link below. Its tough and dries in about 2 seconds when exposed to UV light.

The wader fix that was described above is definitely worth a try. Let us know if you are successful with it.

If you stop into most outdoors stores they will have an assortment of patches to use. I know there is a company that make large and small canvas repair kits that also would work great.

You could also take it to a automotive trim or upholpstery type shop. Those guys make convertible tops and boat covers, awnings etc.. they can sew canvas patches on for you pretty cheap.

As you can see there are a ton of ideas and thoughts on how to patch the holes. I think that you will find that most of not all of them will work. Let us know if and how you proceed as it could be helpful to other hunters down the road.

Thanks!

You must have one of the first Finisher blinds every produced. We have made several changes to the design over the years. I would look at sewing in a piece of canvas before putting the wader patch on. Also, look at the spots it is wearing and look for sharp edges. You may want to take a file to them if they are the cause of the issue.

Thanks,

Thanks for all the suggestions - think im going to try a combo of UV patch along with a canvas patch, and maybe even throw in some extra padding.

I have the same thing occur on my blind and was was wondering about it the other day. Mine is 2 yrs old and I figured from sliding it in and out from trailer/truck. I hunt it pretty hard so thanks for the replies, once the season is over for us, I'll be giving my gear a complete overhaul and catch up with it then. So far I'm very happy with it and its one of the best performing blinds on the market.
