I just got my first order of FFDs in today and I am excited. I have several dozen GHG FBs but these are my first FFDs. I have a question. I have one decoy that is missing quite a bit of flocking of the tail and wasn't really painted under the tail and a couple other flocking issues. Is it better to flock the tail and paint it and maybe airbrush the top or sent it back?

Its up to you what you would rather do but I would either contact the place you purchased the decoys from or Avery CS at 800-333-5119. Sorry for the inconvenience.

they look great and those bags they come in are sweet. I might have to get some for my hunter series since they are all getting upgraded with the motion kits :D I think I could carry 2 or 3 dozen in at a time

Glad you like them, good luck downing some birds. Like I said contact the place you purchased the decoys from or Avery CS at 800-333-5119 and they'll get you taken care of.

What are the procedures that Avery generally takes? Do they send me a new decoy and pay for my shipping on the bad one back? Or do I have to pay the shipping etc? I don't want to return them all because it is still hunting season :)

The best thing to do is have your receipt and call customer service.

I would follow the instructions that Rick gave. The decoys will be replaced if you have all of the correct receipts. If you don't have the receipt, you could contact the dealer that you bought the decoys from and he should be able to give you a copy of the original receipt from the day that you bought the decoys. The original day of purchase will need to be on the receipt and not the day the copy is made.

OK i called CS and they want me to send the 3 decoys back but I have to pay the shipping? What's up with that? I have talked to the dealer and he was going to try adn talk Avery into it but that doesn't seem right. He had one customer last week with the exact same problem as my decoys and I am hoping this isn't a bad batch. Why should i have to pay for this? Please someone explain this one too me? :mad:
