First goldeneye

I went diver hunting wiht my brother this weekend. It wasn't a very good day. Bright sunlight and no wind so we weren't very optimistic but tried to make the best of it. The first bird down was a hen common merganser. She came in from the sun and we thought she was a cormerant. When she came around the edge of the boat I could she what whe was and dropped her with my second shot. The next two volleys were buffies but unfortunatly our shells had gotten wet on a pervious hunt and both our guns misfired on both volleys. Finally about 3 hours into our hunt we had an awesome drake goldeneye suck right in to my GHG oversize goldeneye dekes and fell dead in the water. I couldn't believe how awesome he was. He's in the freezer waiting for the taxidermist. Thanks GHG for another awesome product.

I'll post some pics up when i get the mount back. I should have some pics up tonight of my first mallard I got last year and my first bull sprig I got this year. My brother got the mallard mounted for me for christmas and I got the pinny mounted 2 days after i shot it. It only took 2 weeks from start to finish and it is fantastic.
