As it comes to an end....

As this amazing waterfowl season comes to an end I start looking back and thinking about how quick it really went by. Our 110 day season flew by me like it was just last week I pulled out the gear again. Hopefully all of your seasons were as joyful and successful as mine. Great friends, hard work, and alot of good bird hunting made for one heck of a year.

I went on the last duck hunt yesterday. My dad, and his hunting buddy from Bend, OR. came over for the hunt. Bend, OR. is over 3 hours away from where I live and hunt consistantly so they dont get to make the trip very often. They brought my black lab BO who hasnt hunted for then 3 times in the last 3 years. Hes a little slow on the retrieves now at age 10 but he still has that fire to pick up any bird at any distance. Although we only killed 10 teal, we had a great time doing it together. Here are a few pictures from the afternoon with my dad.

Those are some great pictures. I have been really impressed with your consistency on the Mallards, I'd bet there aren't too amyn guys out there who can match your greenhead count this year!
