Practical Product Uses:

For those of you who have not tried the GHG® Ground Force™ field blind, I anxiously await to hear your report. This blind has revolutionized the layout blind market, and is definitely my favorite. It is easy to pack, folds down smaller than any other framed blind on the market, and is extremely comfortable despite its ultra-low profile. The uses are endless; fields, sandbars, even flooded fields are practical areas to use this blind. After 60+ days afield so far this season, I can say that the GHG® Ground Forces have performed day after day!

Tips for Using the Product:

Although the camouflage patterns of today are very effective, I highly recommend mudding your blind often. Mud will not only eliminate any unnatural appearance, it will help you match the soil that you are hunting. Simply mix soil with water, rub the soupy mixture onto the blind and let it dry! I prefer to re-mud after about every ten hunts.

Also, when using stubble on the blind, be sure to match the surroundings as precise as possible. In addition, I often look for slight impressions in the field, a downed crop row, or even a field attribute such as a stubble edge to better conceal the blinds. The true key is to use a nearly invisible blind and make it totally invisible!

Additional Notes:

Based on the hunting situation, a variety of complimentary Avery® products can be used with this blind. Try a NeoTub™ when hunting flooded or muddy fields, stubble with KillerWeed™ to blend into any environment, use a Snow Cover™ when the snow is plentiful, or even use RealSnow™ spray when there is a little white on the ground. No matter what the situation is, Avery® and Greenhead Gear® have the hunting product to suit your needs!

Great Spotlight on the blind and there are some great photo examples of making a layout blind disappear as well! Nice job Tyson and thank you!

The GHG Groundforce layout blind is one of the best creations I've seen yet. I've had the chance to hunt out of that blind quite a bit this season and it is great for guys that have to pack in or can't drive into fields.

Tyson, great work on the setup and the photos look awesome.

Those blinds simply are not there, We had some days when I didn't think they could be any better hidden but I think that might have us beaten! That second photo is definetly one of my all time favourites! Beautifully done,

Aaron

Great write up. The Ground Force is by far my favorite blind. After killing a three man limit of drakes out of our finisher's one day I got home and found out my Ground Force arrived. I used it the next day in the same field and it instantly became my new favorite blind. The mesh is a great improvement and allows much better visibility than the finisher mesh. Not to mention set up is a cinch.

Might change my Finisher for a Ground Force this fall. I would be easier to carry than my Finisher and atill as much comfortable.

Great job on the article and photos. I had a GF to start the season but opted to stick with my Powerhunter,to handle my new dog a little easier. After laying in the GF and breaking it down,it will be my blind of choice this year.Just another great product.

Tyson, great write up on the Ground Force. After hunting a FA Eliminator the last couple of years, it took a couple hunts to adjust to the smaller profile - but well worth it. The Ground Force is my blind of choice from now on. Much easier to hide in corn and cut bean fields. Another advantage for me was the ability to fold it down quickly. Breaking down two Eliminators to put in a short bed pick-up is a pain.

Any chance it will be available next year with the new Mossy Oak Duck Blind pattern?

Only recommendation would be to add about 3-6" on the mesh so it can overlap and cover your head when turning around to watch birds behind.

Anybody interested in two Eliminators? :) - Excellent shape. PM me.

I agree with everything that has been said-- but would like the reiterate the ease of packing and setting up this blind is unbelievable... IMHO that is what sets it apart from any other full frame blind

The Ground Force blind has been my choice for the past two seasons. Ever since we hunted with the prototypes in Canada in 2005, I have fell in love with them. They are easy to conceal, have a very low profile, are very comfortable, and are very easy to transport in and out of the field. You can not go wrong with this blind.

Good Hunting!
