Well we lucked out and got some ice here this year. It seems to be an every other year type of trend. We didn't get out at all last year.
These pics were taken this past weekend. It was the first time out on the ice for the 'little guys' in the pics. We didn't do too bad, all pike and one nice large mouth.

Funny to see that there's no snow where you are and here in Quebec this mourning it's -30 celcius and everything is covered with snow

You guys are lucky to have caught the Largemouth, they are usually inactive in winter. Looks like a fun time though, it is a definetly a crazy persons sport!

Right now there is about 4-5 inches of ice, 3 is all you need!

Wow. 3 inches! I wouldn't send a dog out on 3 inches. Here it's around 3 feet!

I dont think you needed an auger. If you got down on your knees and blew hot air onto the ice, I think you could have gotten a hole quicker!
