Hunted this morning in a long new grass paddock. because of the lenght of grass the bodies on my shell decoys were nearly invisible from a distance but the Black flocked heads really stood out, the few geese we seen this morning obviously could see them as well and decoyed from well out ending up feet out at 15 yards.....just the way we like them!

Pic is of my hunting buddy Murray with some of the geese we shot this morning.

Great hunt!

I'm looking at the grass, that was probably tricky to hide your blinds?

Man I really wish that I could be there with you Paul. Please keep the pictures coming during our dreadful off season. They help me make it through my days. Thank you very much for your support with the Avery and Greenhead Gear lines of product.

If that was some of the geese you killed; how many did you end up with. Thanks for the post and keep them coming.

Congrats on the hunt.

What do you use to hunt out of in a paddock that green and short?

Are you just using the shells?

How long does your season go for? Do they breed the same time that are geese do? Just curious, cause it seems like you would be shooting next years geese here pretty quick.

Our season is open all year except for the month of april so as not to disturb ducks prior to the May duck season opener.

As I have posted before there is no limit on geese as the population has to be controled. this is done by culling 1000s of geese from heleicopters every year, so us hunters have to shoot as many as we can or risk having them declared a pest and exterminated!

I love seeing waterfowl posts from you during this time of year. It still amazes me that you are smacking Canadas like this during this time. I can not wait to get over there and try them myself. Please keep the updates coming and thank you for being part of the Avery and GHG Teams.

Good Hunting!
