Decoys work, The FFd crows work very well. Find a feild where you have seen a bunch and get permission. Set up in layouts and wait for em to come to ya. They can flair much faster than canadas so get em close before you call the shot. If you have an ecaller use it as well.

its probably the funniest hunting ever. we use a e caller. but sometimes we just let our buddies use there mouths. its so funny. but i went goose hunting with a buddy and we got 2 honks a bluebill, a mallard and 8 bonus crows it was sweet

Electronic callers are great most reach up to 1/2 a mile or more.

Scout in the mourning and in the afternoon. Try to find the roost at night but never hunt in there. After you find the flyway, hunt within 300 yards from it and you'll have some great shooting without ruining the spot.

If your lucky, try to get acces to the municipal dump. It might be hard to get permission cause of the machinery but it worth the trouble.

Tip: Once you shoot a first crow, place it in the feet of a owl. Place your decoys in trees always higher than your owl. Call really agressively and get ready.

Tip 2: If your crow are not reacting well to the call, cut their flyway and place the first dead crow on her back in the snow, wings wide open. Once again get ready cause if one pass close enough to see it, she'll fly around couple turns screming for danger. That's when you need to make sure you don't miss it.

Good luck!

Pat,

You seem to be well versed in the art of crow killing! If I had the time and some extra money to get some dekes I've got some spots back home that I would love to hunt as I always thought it would be fun. I've got a good buddy that can mouth call them in pretty good and has been known to rack up a pretty good count of crows.
