I am thinking of building my own boat blind. I have an 18 ft center console jon (weldbilt) and a 115 hp Johnson. NO ONE in my area hunts out of a boat blind. Any help, ideas, especially picutres would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired of rebuilding my natural blinds year after year
. Thanks guys.

RR,

I do not have any plans for a boat blind, but I will post a picture of my Lowe 1960 with an Avery Quick-Set Waterfowl Blind.

The Quick-Set has been outfitted with Avery's KillerWeed All-Terrain Boat Blind Kit. I have used this set up for the past several seasons to hunt everything from sea ducks to Canada geese. I have used it in all types of terrain from the open water of the Chesapeake Bay to back water of salt marshes.

Great shot of your boat!!!

We are usually hunting out of natural blinds and I'm just plain getting sick of rebuilding all of them every year. Also, there are days when wide open stretches of river hold good numbers of birds and NO ONE, I mean NO ONE is hunting them because there is NO brush close enough. thanks.

We run a 24ft Sea Ark Super Jon with a 90 Johnson and a 25 Yami kicker. We made the blind piping and then had a local guy wrap in custom fitted canvas. We have sections to cover up the gap in the middle of the boat depending on how many guys you are hunting with and sections to cover the whole back and bow of the boat. In the back we have a dog door with a dog ramp. The blind is real easy to take off so you can fish out of it in Spring and Summer. The boat is covered in Avery grass mats. I will try to post more pics but this all I have of the boat. I no they don't show alot but aleast you can get the idea.
