Do the Ground Force blinds have a zippered boot bag? Is that zippered hole big enough for a dog to get out of? I've never hunted out of a Ground Force and thought someone would be able to answer this question here.
Thanks.

The Ground Force does not have a zippered boot bag.

As stated the GF does not come with the zippered boot bag nor does Avery recommend that feature for the use of the dog, and/or inside the blind period for safety reasons. Not to sound harsh, but we don't want to anything happen to your hunting partner.

I agree with Jeremy on this. I know it is not safe to have the dog in the blind with you and your gun. I would recommend a Ground Force Dog blind for the dog. It is low profile and can be set up right next to your blind.

My brother had a dog in his Final approach and was nearly killed when it discharged the gun..freak accident.

Like the guys said, definitely get a dog blind just for your dog. Too many things can happen when you have the dog in your lay-out blind.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the info. BTW I don't have gun in the blind when I run the dog from my blind. It's nice not to have to hide another "space" in thin fields. When I shoot myself, I use a dog blind even though I wish he was in there with me. Dogs make nice little heaters on those cold ones.:)

Where do you put your gun?

Whatever you do....please don't fun your dog out of the boot bag. You are just asking....almost begging for a tragedy.

I have been PREACHING that to hunters for two years working shows. And at the time I didn't even own a dog. You just can not expect to run a dog from your blind and not have some problem down the road. Whether the problem is hearing, or worse, becoming a statistic.
