What would be the best thing to get a hunting partner for his birhtday under 150 bucks.

Maybe a really good Acrylic Zink Call? Something he may not spend the money on himself.

duck at Webbedconnection (we hunt, too!)

I would try a call, decoys, or maybe a Power Hunter in Khaki if he doesnt have one.

A customized call.

I got our hunt club logo on an RNT MVP for the best man in my wedding.

get a call with a customization like Kryspin suggested. It will last the longest and be the most memorable. 10 years from now he'll have that call. The power hunter and decoys won't last that long and if they do, they won't have the same nostalgia. I'm sure most call companies would be willing to add an inscription for a nominal fee.

The other option would be get him a set of cork decoys. I'm doing this for my brother for his birthday. He mostly hunts black ducks and only uses a small spread. I'll likely get him a set of 4 of his own. This may not be worth it depending on what and how you target birds.

By the way 100-150 bucks on a friend's birthday, man I wish I had friends like this.

I would go with the Power Hunter or some decoys. FFD Lessers or some Full Body Mallards.

I really like the idea of the Power Hunter ground blind. I hunt out of this blind on a daily basis and it produces nothing but results. I wish I had a buddy that would spend this much money on a birthday present for me. Nice work!

Good Hunting!

Thanks For All Your Replies. He Already Has 2 Blinds A Finisher And A Ground Force So I Dont Think He Need Another One. Thee Ffd Lessers Are A Very Good Idea But We Already Have 15 Dozen Of Them Lol. I Was Thinking About Getting Him A Bubble Gum Moneymaker With Some Cool Lazer Engraveing.

Custom decoys are a great gift. I have received several over my life and they are some of my most cherished items.

I think a costomized call would be the way to go.

It seems you have 2 choices. Like all the people that are paid by Avery say, Buy our product. Or the people that have no ties say, A nice call

First and foremost, find out what you friend needs and won't or can't buy it for himself. A lot of times we hold off buying something we really want because it just seems too much or extravagant. Personally, I wish someone had given me a decent choke tube (Patternmaster) a long time ago. Last fall I bought a 900 D Strap Vest and now wonder how I got along without it. Whatever you get make it something useful- he will remember you for a long time if you do.

Get him a case of AMMO.

No one can ever have enough, and you can rib him for being a crappy shot. Fun gift I got a while back. Useful, funny, and just all around a good idea.

Buying someone a call is like buying someone underwear.

Let him pick those out himself.

I agree with RiverRock,
Nothing says you're a great friend like a case of High velocity steel! (or heavy shot if he's a really good friend)
