I know this isn's an Avery product and I apologize but I wasn't sure where to post this.
I just bought a case of Winchester Supreme 3.5" #2's. I am hoping to make this my all around shell. Anyone else use these?
I have a few questions for you guys:
Pros/cons?
Patterns?
Good knock down power range?
Preffered choke with it?

I use the 3 inch number 4's for ducks and geese
It is my favorite load, fast and very dense patterns

I shot Winchester Supremes 2's only for 2 years and had good success with my Browning Gold w/ Patternmaster. That being said I have found a different factory load that patterens better and switched to them this past year.
To answer your question I think Winchester Supremes are a good consistant round with a good payload as long as they pattern well out of your gun;) ...

I have heard many good things about them. I may try some next year if they pattern out of my combo.

Go take it out and pattern it. Every gun will give you different results with different tubes. It really doesn't matter what works for somebody else, you just have to make sure its consistent for you! Pattern it at 10 yds, 20 yds, 30 yds, etc... and see how it performs.

I had good results with the Supremes this year. didn't expect too either, but they were good.

Pattern your gun at 30+ yds and see how you like it. any shell is lethal when you start talking 20 yds or less. If not it's a serious case of user error :)

I shoot supremes through my 10 and it works great. Great knock down power the only real draw back to the supremes are they are a little pricey.

I say over the summer buy a variety of different loads. Towards season, you will notice you have almost every kind. Pattern them all and see what's the most effective for you. For me it's Remington 3 inch 3's or 4's.

To heck with supremes. I shoot either Winchester HV #3's or the Expert #3 in 3"...and have found that out of the PM or Mod choke in my 870...they are deadly on early or late season geese.....depending on range...which for me is at 25-30 yrds.
Good luck.

You can't go wrong with Supremes. They are the top of Winchester's steel shot line. I'm sure they will perform great out of your gun. Just pattern them like everyone else said.
