Just curious as to what load and choke you guys use. I mainly use 3 " # 2 or BB nitros or kents with a mod choke for ducks and geese.

I'm shooting Kent 3" 1 1/4 oz. 2's @ 1425 fps and 3" 1 1/8oz. 3's @ 1560 fps through the factory modified through my M1 for ducks. For geese I've got a bunch of 3" hevi shot 2's through the same choke. When they are gone, I'm going back to steel BB's. Probably 3" Kent 1 1/4 oz. @ 1425. And quackaddict's got me convinced I need to try some 1's.

For spring snows, it has been 3 inches Tungsten-Matrix, Kent Impact, 1¼ounce, no.1, with 1525FPS velocity ... Great impact ...
I always used company's chokes, but this spring I'll be giving the Wad Wizard Supreme a try ...
Otherwise, last fall season I've been using Kent All Purpose Steel no.2, 3 inches with a 1475FPS velocity, for both ducks and geese, along with a Baikal company Full Choke, and it's been working good.

Kent Faststeel and a Patter Master. I shoot varying loads... 3 for mallard hunting, BB for geese and usually 2 for divers. Mostly 3 1/2 inch.

Im slowly converting the world to 1's for geese Steve. I have experienced nothing but good from ones on geese. My favorite steel load is a the Federal HHV 3.5 load of 1.5 oz 1's @1500fps. I have patterned some Kent 3.5 1 3/8 oz 1's @1550 Fps and will be trying these on snows this spring. If I had unlimited cash I would shoot nothing but Hevi shot 3 inch loads of 4 shot (1.5 oz load @ 1300 fps?) I burned up the last one I had last year and wish i had more. Those things were lights out.

I shot some 3" Drylok BB out of my Benelli IC last spring and it shot a very nice modified pattern at 40 yards.

YUP... I think there is a VERY LARGE tendancy to OVER choke in waterfowling.

Kent faststeel 1 1/8 BB and a Wad Wizzard for geese and #2-4 for ducks (depends on the ducks I'm hunting...smaller duck = smaller shot) out of the same choke.

I used to only use 3" #2 for sea ducks and some 3" #3 for puddlers. Both with a browning duck commander modified choke.
Tried some 3" Kent Tungsten Matrix #5 this past season. I was impressed and mainly switching over for my personal use. It did its job on GE and our other sea ducks.
