That is a quote everyone should be hunting by, and if you aren't hunting by it you should not be hunting in the first place.

That is definitely my favorite as of now. I laughed for a minute straight just now.

My favorite quote of the year would be from my good friend and hunting buddy.

"You promised me Mallards" - Land Suller aka Mr. Jeff.

But you have to imagine a guy dressed up in a white jumpsuit that makes him looks like a sumo wrestler and he's sitting in a Powerhunter yelling that while slamming his fists on the ground. I guess a limit of Canadas wasn't good enough for him.

The funniest line I've heard is from an old farmer when asked to hunt geese that were using his corn fields:

"You want to hunt geese? We ain't got no swamps!"

When told that they wanted to hunt them in the corn field, he responded:

"We ain't got no crops!" (his farm was surrounded by corn)

From my good buddy Jeff.

not really influential but I get a kick out of it when you meet someone and talk waterfowl, they find out you put on field mallard shoots and they say...

"I dont like shootin ducks in the field, you kill too many hens" or something along that line, and you ask them if they have ever had a field duck hunt they say no.

The only reason they said it is because they just watched Freddy say it in the 24/7 video and they have no clue what they are talking about

“What is a wild goose worth? As compared with other sources of health and pleasure, what is its value in the common denominator of dollars? I have a ticket to the symphony. It stood me two iron men. They were well spent, but if I had to choose, I would forgo the experience for the sight of the big gander that sailed honking into my decoys at daybreak this morning. It was bitter cold and I was all thumbs, so I blithely missed him. But miss or no miss, I saw him, I heard the wind whistle through his set wings as he came honking out of the gray west, and I felt him so that even now I tingle at the recollection. I doubt not that this very gander has given ten other men two dollars' worth of thrills. Therefore I say he is worth at least twenty dollars to the human race."

"When hunting Mallards or Canadas, it does not take a lot of kills to enjoy the day. Snow goose hunting puts you in a different mind set than regular season waterfowl hunting...After Four hours of setting decoys, Three hours of sleep, you are tired and on edge. Right or wrong you expect a good hunt, you expect a massacre."

Bead on the bill makes the kill. (from an old Illinois River duck hunter)

Conversation that took place in our pit in Illinois in fall of 1989.
Call them geese.
What geese?
Those up there.
Those geese are higher than fudge (only I didn't say fudge)
JB, exactly how high is fudge?
Just a little lower than them geese.

A skybuster was ruining one of our hunts. One of my hunting buddies said:
