Does killer weed not work better than painting them in your area?

Sometimes (especially with the drought) we hunt mud flats and other areas that are very sparse with vegitation.

I was thinking about adding a Nat gear type pattern to my Khaki blinds.

Brian that is exactly what I did. I know have some khaki Power Hunters and a Natural Gear one as well. I have not painted up the Natural Gear one. I have painted up my Khakis. I just painted to match dirt. The nice thing about painting them is the areas that you paint really hold mud a lot better then the areas without it. It has really helped in blending in in areas with little or no vegetation.

What kind of paint do you use and how do you apply it? Some pics would be great.

If my trailer wasn't buried in 3 feet of snow I would get you some pics. I just found some cheap brown spray paint to use. Makes a big difference on the newer khaki blinds.

Am I missing something? I mean it sures is a pretty field and I am sure it will grow you lots of cabbage or whatever but why post pictures of boring empty fields?:D

Along the lines of what Brett was saying, I used to paint all of my khaki blinds sandbar color but, since I started using NatGear I haven't done much. I still lightly spray them with flat tan just to take off the shine. I hate mudding blinds, so much so I paid a youth field staffer to do one for me.

Non painted straight out of the box NatGear.

Black River are you referring to the picture with the green heads and one drake pintail on the blind with my golden to the left???
If that is the picture those are all juvie snows or blues in that picture. That morning I shot all juvie birds. The very dark ones with lighter backs near their tail feathers are juvie blues...

That snow spread is from last fall, I will have another one almost like that for the spring but add about another 150 blues to it.

Pat your right great friends are had to come by but great hunting partners are even tougher to find. Claude and Francoise are fantastic people one will only met people like them a few times in a life time... I am very lucky to have met them...

Yep, that is the pic I was referring to. Never seen juvie blues colored up quite like that or that dark. Maybe it's just the lighting though.

By the time they get down that far south to your neck of the woods AR, they might be a bit differnet in color.

Here check out this picture of a juvenile blue

Very cool guys,

I have never needed to repaint the blinds but that is because of the fields we hunt

Yeah, they are a bit lighter in color than that one in the picture. At least the ones I have taken were.
