Patternmaster

I just bought a SBEII and I have a patternmaster on it for now. Is there any shell size or shot size that should not be shot out of the patternmaster?? Any input would be helpful.. Thank you!

as long as your gauge matches your gun and you are not using a slug swing away

From the patternmaster web site....

We do not recommend shooting rifled slugs through the Patternmaster. However it will shoot Foster or lead slug quite well. It is recommended that you clean the studs to remove the plastic that may or may not build up after shooting slugs.

So, as long as it's not a rifled slug I'd swing away.

It is a steel shot choke so all steel loads work great.

the rifled slug is a definate NO. NO

Lead No. 8's pattern very well out of it.

Make sure you pattern differnt loads to see what is the best

If you can shoot 3 1/2 ammo your pattern will be tighter using a 3 in. loads vs. 3 1/2 loads the folks at PM told me this week. If you shoot 3 1/2 & want to tighten-up your pattern the PM folks told to go with the "extended" PM tube. I shot 3 1/2 w/ the reg PM and it did great!

I shoot #3, #2, and bb they all shoot great.You still need to pattern with different brands.

I heard that the pattern master doesn't work well with fast loads? Something about the wad splits?? Any help please!

I shoot Kent 1550fps out of mine and dont have any problems with the wad. My gun and choke shoots Kent and Drylok the best. I use #3's and BB's and dont get as good a pattern from the other brands.

I shoot everything from ducks, to doves, through mine. I have shot lead, steel, #2,3,4,6,7,8 BUT DO NOT SHOOT A SLUG!!!! it will not be good!!!

Patternmaster is a great choke hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
