Now that i am living in SoDak i have had some opportunities to hunt snows. Some of them are really up there and i was wondering what aftermarket choke any of you would recommend and also if you would get a full or modified...thanks for your help.

I would have to say the Pattern Master as well.

With the high velocity steel I use the PM Extended. I really like the performance so far. Short shot strings put more pellets on target!

Well said Brett. For 3 1/2" shells the extended Pattermaster is the best there is!

I shoot a .675 Terror at everything from teal to big honkers and everything in between. I own a Patternmaster as well, but like the Terror better. I didn't have a single crippled duck this season - dead on the water. There's no inbetween at short distances with that choke - clean miss or stone dead.
Terror also makes a .655 which may be better suited for snows only.

I have got several of the Terror Tubes from the .655, .675, .700, and the .715 and love them all. Whicked patterns. Sometimes I forget which choke I have got in and on the closer birds, it is like shooting a rifle at them. The patterns holds true even father out as well.

I shoot a Briley extended tube with a Light Modified restriction. I have shot it for 6 seasons and have NO complaints.

I used to use a patternmaster day in and day out. But this year I have been using a Pure Gold IC for alot of my hunting situations. It feels tighter than most other IC chokes, and is deadly on open water divers and beyond. I really like it.

I much prefer my extended Briley Imp. Mod. choke to my PM. I would save your $$$ and not get a PM. That is just my oppinion.

All good chokes, however, if you are shooting steel 1400 to 1450 and above the Terror choke tube is better suited. They are designed for high speed shells and deliver on that promise. That being said, the best thing you can do is get each choke and pattern your gun on paper with the shells you will be shooting until you find the right fit.

I love my PM.. Though I have shot a X full turkey choke made for steel and heavy shot and it was devastating out in the 70's... Shooting ducks on the way out of your check isn't recommended but possible! Good luck!

For the flocks we typically shoot into 30-50 yards... you guys are going to think I'm nuts... skeet choke with Hevi Steel 4s or Steel #2s on my Benelli is dang deadly. If you want multiple hits per shot this is what I use. Say you have a day where the flocks will give you a grouped up shot at 30 yards out 20 yards high (clear sky - 40 mph wind), it is a shredder with number 6 Hevi Shot.
I also like to carry my "Sniper load" with me for those single birds that like to hang at 50 yards plus. That is a 20 ga. with a full choke using 3" number 4 Hevi Shot.

I have an extended PM and my BPS shoots 2's and bb's really well. Deadly in the 30-60 yard range.
