I was looking into getting a e caller for snow hunting. Can anybody tell me some name of companies and what to look for or avoid ? thanks

Make your own...it's cheaper and you get a better caller.

The FoxPro's seem to be pretty popular as you can download sounds from their web site.

Make your own, its not that bad and you can get some really good sound out of them for lots less

My suggestion would be to make your own as well. We have made two of them this year and the quality of sound and volume is top notch. Google it and you will find tons of different ways to make them. If you do not have any luck send a PM to Pillow Maker (on the Avery MB) and he can set you up.

E-callers are basically pretty simple. You have an amp, speakers, and a source for sound (either a CD player or MP3) You can put a pretty nice one together for 150 bucks. PM if you want to know what I used.

I think you can actually do it a little cheaper than that. I built 4 myself this past spring and they worked great.
