I planned on buying some GHG decoys at Sportsman's Warehouse this fall. I was going to buy some this summer but I decided to wait until they have their "waterfowl weekend" to see if there were any sales. I've actually been in there 3 different times in the last month just looking at and holding all the GHG dekes. And BTW, those FFDs look better every time I see them.

I read this article linked below about the lawsuit between Avery and Bass Pro Shops. Isn't Sportsman's Warehouse owned by Bass Pro Shops? If so, maybe I should get over to Sportsman's Warehouse before they pull Avery products. Or maybe I should just purchase from Rodgers or another retailer this fall. Any thoughts?

Don't worry about anything. Sportsman's Warehouse is still privately owned by one person and not Bass Pro Shops.

You must be thinking of another store.

Sportsman's Warehouse will have the full line of GHG decoys and most of the Avery and GHG accessories to go with them.

Thanks,

Some Bass Pro's were called: Bass Pro Sportsman's Warehouse. Now they are just called Bass Pro.

I think you will find everything that you need at SW. Eric is correct and I think alot of people will be confused at the ownership of this company.

Sportsman's Warehouse is a great line of stores that carry 99% of all Avery/GHG products. Most likely, they will have what you are looking for. If not, let us know and we'll see what we can do to remedy that.

Hey Curt can you get our sportsmans warehouse to stock Avery call lanyards and more Zink calls? ;)
There isnt an XR-2 to be found in any of our hunting stores! I had to drive to Reno to get an Ivory Money Maker.

Well this is great news. I like our Sportsman's Warehouse in OKC so much better than our Bass Pro Shops. The selection of GHG products at our Sportsman's Warehouse is outstanding. The staff is always very helpful as well. Does Avery typically send anyone out for the "Waterfowl Weekend" in the fall? I would love it if someone really knowledgeable about the GHG products was there to talk about them.

I've found that Sportsman's Warehouse prices are much better than Bass Pro's on many items as well.

Chad...just to update you on SW Waterfowl Weekends for 2007. My current schedule does not have OKC slated for a Waterfowl Weekend this year. However, that could always change and if it does then we will most likely attend and support it.

As of right now the closest one to you would probably be Wichita, KS, October 6-7.

Thanks for the info Rob. If that changes and you are going to be in OKC, I will definitely see you there.

Sportsman's Warehouse is going to be a very strong vendor for Avery again during the 2007-2008 season. They are bulking up on the entire line of hard goods, decoys, and Sporting Dog products. They have around seven new stores coming on line this year and even more next year. Avery is very excited and thankful for the relationship that we have with Sportsman's Warehouse and their employees.

Good Hunting!

That is great to hear Chad. I know our store up here sells a lot of it, right now they are selling their Sporting Dog products as fast as they get them in!

Isn't Macks PW partly owned by AVERY

Negative to that. They are privately owned and operated. They are a great customer for us.

Mack's is definitely not owned or is any part of it owned by Avery.

Walt,

Did you give the guy a ticket today?
