How much smaller are the FFD lessors compared to the regular FB Canada decoy?

they are the size of a large mallard, I can't think of a better way to describe it to you. I hope that it helped.

Wow they are quite a bit smaller. There are a lot of Lessors in this area and I was thinking of using the Lessor dekes for all of the different types of Canada geese. Anyone ever try this before?

Honker #1, thanks for the pic.
I mix Lesser dekes in with my regular FB's all the time. In my opinion, this can add a more life like appearance to your spread. Geese come in all different sizes and if you look at a typical flock, the geese vary in size. Also, the Lesser dekes save space when your limited and also are lighter to carry into the field. You wont have any problem having birds decoy to the Lesser's.
Thanks for the input Jason. There were a couple of factors that got me thinking about this. The lessors are cheaper, and they are smaller. Both are a definite bonus. I just want an entire spread of FFD's. What are the Hunter series like? Will they be shiney on sunny days?

Echo,
Ive posted a pic below showing a Pro-Grade and an FFD on a sunny day hunt last season. FFD is in the front. As you can see, the FFD's are hard to be on those blue-bird days.
The Lesser Decoys are available Fully Flocked. Ive also attached a pic below from the same day.

Echo I love to run lesser decoys up here in Colorado. They are definatally my favorite GHG decoy now. I run'em for a lot of the reason that u posted up....cheaper take up less room etc. Plus the 06, lessers look amazingly good!
Well those are some nice looking dekes. I am sold on the FFD lessers. Here in Sask you can have all 4 seasons in 1 day, how do they look when they are wet? Is there any special care a guy has to do with FFD's? Sorry for all the questions but I am about to drop a lot of ching on these so I don't want any surprises. I am not talking about the "frivolus" crap that guys seem to argue about like paint chipping and the like. I baby a lot of my gear now but I ain't afraid to "use" it, normal wear and tear is something I expect to happen. Thanks for all the pics and info.

The lessers quickly became my favorite decoy of 2006. They are cheaper, lighter, and move with very very little wind. They also look incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Echo,
The FFD dekes still look great when they are wet. I would recommend 6 slot bags for your FFD's. They provide great protection for them and also make it easier to carry Full Bodies into the field. The six slots have a cinch top to protect the flocked heads in addition to the bodies. The flocking is very durable and with the 6 slots, you will get years out of these decoys.

Echo...here are some dimensions for the L/S Lesser Canada Feeder vs. the L/S Hunters/Pro-Grades/FFD Canada Goose Feeder that should help:

Thanks Rob, I was concerned about the height difference but after your last post it is a non-issue.

I totally agree with Travis on this one. The FFD Lessers were all that I used this year other than the Rester and Sleeper Canada decoys. The look awesome and I have had great success with big and little geese with them.

FYI - the 2007 Lessers come with a slotted bag this year.
