I shot a Native grey duck this evening, these are very rare down here as most have hybridised with the Mallard, I would not have shot it but they are very hard to identify when flying with Mallards during the low light of an evening hunt.
They are very similar to your Black duck that is why I mix blacks with my Mallard spread over here

Paul - maybe there aren't many over there because they're all in Sydney begging for chips! :p
We caught these two the other day at the food court, maybe they're NZ refugees searching for safe haven now that the season has started. :D

The pacific black ducks and NZ grey ducks are cool birds. Paul- can you shoot the "black teal" now or are they still off limits? Do you hunt swans at all? I was over in NZ several years ago and we hunted up along the northeast coast of the south island. It was a blast- although we didnt have the success that you are having now. Needed some of those GHG decoys. We shot several prarries and swans. Would have liked to have shot some pukekos (dont know that i spelled that right), but we didnt have any luck with them.

That looks like my kind of hunting, getting something to eat and and limit at the same time. That is a cool looking duck.

Cool looking bird. How many of those do you kill a year? I think that those people may be baiting those ducks.

Paul,
did you see the colour of the feet on those Sydney blacks? Supposed duck experts are always telling me that greys have to have olive feet, and anything with a touch of an orange tinge is a hybrid. Ain't no mallards over there for them to bred with. What colour were that grey's feet?
