Would you be interested in sending us a pair? We have been thinking about producing these. They would be good for reference.

Rick, I will email you from Deadeye's on Monday (our time) It was pretty simple only took a few minutes a decoy.

Nice bunch of birds. Are the pallets set up as a blind?

Great job on the decoys. I looks as those the ducks were fooled by them. What is the limit on those ducks?

Rick...I'm surprised you are not offering to pick them up in person!

Those are sure some different looking decoys. Are those type of ducks the size of a mallard or are they bigger? Looks like you had a good shoot. Keep up the good shooting.

Those look pretty good. It would be a blast to hunt something exotic like that.

I think the Paradise duck is about the size of a snow goose. We are looking at doing Paradise ducks for all those in New Zealand for 2008. We will keep you posted.

Thanks,

What is the market like over there? Are a lot of the hunters using the full body ducks and shell decoys for field hunting? Nice improvising on your part and we look forward to receiving the samples.

Good Hunting!

The humble parrie is a touch bigger than the Mallard, I use Pellets for my hides on that spot they grow grass for new back yards and golf greens, the duck are use to them as there are stacks of the all over the place. If is a little on the hard side to camo my lay out blind, (even though i probablly would not need to) the limit this year is 10 per person per day.

To answer your question Chad, if I may...

They are the same size as your lesser goose, in fact your lesser full body goose decoy is the perfect anatomical shape of our parrie - only they are no where as shy or smart when it comes to decoys. Very large numbers ( 100's ) can be taken over silly's of them. They are a gift bird to shoot and really don't present much of a challange to any body who has hunted canada's. The really sad part of these pretty birds is most hunters who shoot them ... throw them away !!!! Sad but very true. They do make great salami's and can be cooked on the BBQ with some good results - similar to how Fred cooked those geese in your video, where you guys cooked them on a BBQ.

Rick, cost may be a factor if you produce them for the N.Z. market, simply for the above reason - they decoy to almost any shape somewhere near their size and colour.
