Natural gear camo has been out for quite some time now right?? And Does any one else find it funny that natural gear has been out for a while and people used to not even pay attention to it and just now every body wants to change over to it, mainly becuse the "Pro's/Video Guys" are using it?? haha wont last years brand new coat or waders with a differnt pattern kill just as many ducks? haha Sorry if I have insulted anyone but its kind of funny to me how much people are influenced! Dont get me wrong its a good camo, I dont think its a bad pattern or anything like that!

IDK, I think that it just wasnt in the public eye as much as the popular brands. I think that it was just seen as a "wierd" if you will camo pattern. It doesnt look like anything! Most other camo patterns have somethin on them like grass or leaves. I just think that the effectivness was somewhat overlooked.

I agree, it has 0 shelf appeal to it, but damn when you get it in the field WOW. The other camo i am really hyped about is killweed (ahem...rick please post a pic :))
I, for one, was wearing Natural Gear long before it was "what the Pro's use". I realized when I first saw it several years ago that it was EXACTLY what I needed to melt into the back ground of almost any environment. I've managed to collect a bunch of Natural Gear garments the past few years. I've got a closet full of the stuff.:D
As for it becoming more popular because of video hunters. That IMO is a good thing. It will only increase the number of products that become available in the pattern. I was one depressed puppy when Drake dropped it from their line a couple years ago. Maybe Drake will pick it up again.

if you are from idaho, it is the best camo, period. our soil is not as dark as most so it is dead on. believe weatherby when you put in on and are outside, wow..

I think it is all because of marketing. The people over at NatGear have been promoting pretty hard over the past few years. It is all paying off for them now.

I agree and the pattern will do very well. Natgear has always been very popular out west. I know alot of guys in the south went to it when they did away with the old Mossy Oak Bottomland camo as well as the old shadowgrass.
With the revised Bottomland pattern coming back, I 'm sure this will take the place of natgear for a lot of hunters in the deep south and other areas as well.

Nat gear has always been a choice of mine. just becasue it blends in with anything. I love to use it when i am bow hunting because it blends in well with trees. Also it really does not cost that much. i hope they will come out with a waterfowl camo soon.

It's all about getting something in the public eye, and having shelf appeal. Nat gear is a camo that has no bells and whistles, it just works. Not saying others don't, they just promote more than Nat-Gear. Again, use what works for you, not what works for the commercial.

It's all about getting it out there. NatGear has done a lot of marketing the last couple of years and I think it has paid off. It's a great pattern but it just needed to get out there with someone really supporting it.

It is just like anything else when more gys who's opinon YOU TRUST use it and explain the success they had with it, it will open your eyes to how it would be functional for you.
Cornbelt camo s a decent pattern for some cases as well. How many people have used or heard of it? Again it goes back to peoploe in the industry talking about it and marketing

I really like my Nat Gear that I've got and am very impressed with not only how the camo blends in to a lot of different terrains but also how the apparel fits me. The quality of the garments are top notch and to hit on what the guys have said marketing is huge when it comes to introducing products.
Great stuff.

Well I needed to update my hunting clothing sometime now and with the quality of construction of their apparel and the killer prices that I got it for it wasn't a hard decision to make. Pretty much a no brain-er. Plus for what we do and where we hunt it makes the most sense ,to me, anyways.
Nat snow is also a great camo!

Natty Gear is a great camo.
i started wearing it last year after i started to out-grow all of my old camo.
i have to buy a new pair of waders this year, and u can count on me buying the macks pw brand waders in Nat Gear.
i did notice the same thing, but i think people jus overlooked natty Gear. Avery is the kind of company that realy promotes stuff and now that they are using Nat Gear a lot ore people can see the camo.
BUT i DO agree, a lot of people are influenced by the other por-staffers, if the old-school army style camo was being worn by Avery staffers, people would probly think they should hav that, not because Fred Zink wears it, but because they pictures of Fred wearing it holding up a limit of ducks.
people look for results.
thats my 2 cents on it.
thanks.

More and more people are seeing it in a natural environment instead of on the shelf. When folks started seeing in more and more in the videos they saw it were it counted. The stuff almost disappears in any situation. It's a great camo for all around use.
I would like to have everything I own in Nat Gear.

getting it in the public eye and marketing with good photos in hunting situations is a big part. Until recently it was pretty much marketed to deer hunters. Now that they are offering more waterfowl targeted clothing in the pattern it will continue to grow.
