I know that Jeff Coats - AKA Pitboss makes a great cord sea duck - In fact, during his new DVD - "Ducks, Dogs and Decoys" - the D3 cameras follow Jeff through the decoy carving process (a scoter pattern) and provides some great - never before seen footage of the Eastern Shore. Very interesting stuff!

Paint up some old dekes as sea ducks they can't tell the difference anyway only you can. I use mag and supermag mallards for scoters and pintails for oldsquaws and we limit out on sea ducks almost every time we go. IMO if you buy sea duck decoys you are just wasting your money or you have money to burn.

if you have any beat up plastic carry-lites or anything like that paint 'em up as scoters and oldsquaw.
