I got a pack of 4 active style specklebelly floaters in the last week. Two of the heads wen ton perfectly. One was a tight fit, and the 4th won't gone on at all. The base of the head is wider than the hole you put it into. Anybody got any suggestions on a way I could get it in there. I don't plan on taking them off once I get it in there.

Have you tried a lubricant such as liquid soap?

Uh huh. I got it in somewhat. Can't get that last 1/4 inch to go down to where I can turn it. I'm breaking a sweat just trying to get that dang head on.

Never mind, finally got it on there, but lost part of a finger nail in the process. When the head did finally turn, it really turned and I cuaght my finger nail on the body and broke part of it off. Talk about pain. Oh well, at least the head is on and I don't have to worry about doing that again.

Soap works wonders for heads and keels. We have the tolerances very tight because they will wear some for people that take them off and put them on regularly.
thanks,
