I just bought some HS lookers this past weekend and I set them out in the yard and they blew over within a few seconds I can't seem to get any of them to stay up. We've had about a 15-20 mile per hour wind the past few days. But i don't think that should matter, I usually hunt in 20-30 mph winds. Any help?

Are the decoys Kind of leaning forward??? If so you can tighten the nuts on the bottom of the Realfeet base, if that doesnt help, then heres what i do, I take the stubblecord pull it up onto the realfoot base that you put in the the hole to twist it tight. The cord will sit on the edge and when you latch it on to the decoy it should sit a lot more upright. The cord will pull it back towards the tail, because all of the weight is forward, so this will even it out. You could also drill a hole in the bottom to put a stake in it.

I have a few leaners as well, and I just make sure there is a good chunk of stubble in the stubble straps (a corn stalk works great) and I really work my bases into the ground at an angle where they are standing straight. This isn't a permanent fix but it works for me....

Facing the body into a strong wind really helps too.

If it is that windy, I use a little L shaped tent stake to stake them down. It works wonders.
thanks,

all great ideas... maybe I'll just use em all and if they still don't stay put somins really wrong! :) thanks guys. I'd already thought about burying the bases in the dirt a little, that'd probably take care of it for sure. Thanks again.

Check the bottom of the actual feet of the decoy. Sometimes there is a little plastic left from the mold under the feet. If the feet are not sitting flat, then take the screws out of the bottom and remove the excess plastic. This should make the decoys sit more upright, if that is the problem.

You can also put the feet on backwards. It works for mine anyways.

I have also reversed the bases on a couple of mt lookers and has worked very well.
