I'm posting some pics of before and after pics of the Ruff Stand. I "mudded" the top with Krylon Ultra Flat Khaki, and decided to knock some of the black down from the base...Haven't decided about the shoulder strap yet.

All in all, I like it.

Added some shots of my dog giving it a "test drive"...after the paint dried!! He's got a sore foot from teal hunting yesterday, so this is my way of keeping him entertained......he doesn't look real excited about modeling for me does he?!!

Is your dog able to jump on and off the stand when its on hard ground like that? When I try it mine wobbles so bad the dog jumps back off...if I hold it she can jump on and sit, but if she jumps off she throws the stand 5 feet behind her....normal???

I helped him up for the pic, he's getting over a tender foot from hunting. In most cases he will have a vest on, so I'll grab him to help him anyway. I'm not a big fan of letting dogs jump up and down off anything excessively - too hard on joints ultimately, and risks of hyper-extensions.

My stand is very stable, and I'm guessing it will work nicely in the mud of a marsh.

Ok, so you made me want to go play with mine again. This time I made sure the leg/base hinge was completely locked back so that the legs were as far apart as possible....makes a big difference:rolleyes: . (cut me some slack I've been studying all weekend and I'm brain fried!).

Good Idea on the paint. I darkened mine and added some brown to resemble muddy water. My dog LOVES his stand also. Besure to take some pics of this season with your dog on it. Thanks for choosing Avery.
