For all of those out there that do the annual road trip, What do you guys think are the absolute necessities that you take with you? I'm running My F250 PSD with a 6x12 enclosed trailer on the back to ND in two weeks. Any tips, and gear that you guys wouldn't go without would be much appreciated! Thanks Guys. :D.

I've never been on a road trip or long hunting trip like your talking about. I want to go but can't work it in with school and sports.
HOWEVER, I would say the most important thing you could take is toilet paper. I know its not hunting related but you never know when you'll need it!

Be sure that you have several good maps. The land out there in ND is pretty barren in spots, and it is very easy to get turned around without any notciable landmarks. Trust me I know. Here is a link to the ND DNR interactive waterfowl map. http://gf.nd.gov/gnfapps/maps/nrwtrf.pdfIt is a good map, I would recommend printing one off and bringing it with. It is defintly a neccesity for us. Hope this helps, and good luck in ND. And be sure to post up some pics!
Take Care,
Ellis

A phone book for the area you will be hunting is an absolute must.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and try new hunting tactics.
A camera is also a good idea!

I can't believe anyone hasn't said a good pair of Binos. They are the most useful tool when scouting out a new area.

Thanks for the tips guys.. Much appreciated! It looks as though it should be a good trip with the reports of the birds there already! I've got everything pretty much nailed down as for what we're taking but theres always going to be something else! If anyone is going to be around the northern region of ND the second week of Oct. look me up we'll be there for 10 days maybe we could meet up and share a hunt with some fellow message boarders!! Thanks again fellas!
