Put em out or not?

so Season starts tomarrow and we have alot of teal around and they are all still in eclipse but I need a larger number of them I have 4 hens and 4 drakes should I put just the hens out or put the drakes out too for numbers I'm pretty stuck here any advice would be greatly appreciated.

personally I dont think a ducks gonna flare to a fully plummage decoy and if its gonna bother you put the 4 hens out and then some mallards.

Put them all out!!!!!! For open day numbers help I think!! Are you seen them in big bunches? If you only see six or less then i would put out maybe a dozen, If ducks are in big flocks put the mega spread out!!!! Hope this helps a little! just remember opions are like elbows everybody has a couple!!!!

thanks for the advice the teal are usually in flocks of around 12 or so I guess I'll put out the drakes then. so I'll probably have 8 teal 7 mallards and 2 pintail hens and thats about accurate to what i have been seeing lately.

I hunt the same side of WA as you do and I always use drakes in my spread the color helps just as much as the extra numbers. Remember a ducks brain aint much bigger than a couple of peas don't over think things this early in the season.
