New York's Southeastern zone opened last weekend..... The backwater club hunted the ancestral hole, as we traditionally do, first day was awesome, plenty of woodies, and a decent amount of local mallards, but didnt have the flight birds in yet.
Opening day.

Second weekend, with weather in the 70's all week, and a balmy south wind, didnt get much in the way of new birds, murphy and i made the most of it, and saturday was decent....... But sunday wasnt even documented with a picture......Couldnt have been more comfortable to hunt in, but not the weather we were looking for.
