Hey guys, I am new to the site but have really enjoyed all the pictures and stories on the site. I am looking to add another half dozen fullbodys to my spread. I already have 6 avery feeders with flocked heads and realfeet bases. I love the decoys but carrying them in the 6 slot bag isnt always the easiest. Right now I am considering 6 prograde actives which means another 6 slot motion bag. I guess my question is are there any other fullbodys that are more compact and easier to carry? I know the lessers are smaller but I am not sure if we see those in NY. Thanks for any info.

The lessers would be easier to carry, and the lessers would also work to bring giant canadas into your decoys..Sorry to tell ya this but carrying decoys dont get much easier than the 6 slot bags.. I would look into the ffd lessers if I were you, as the bag(with decoys) is considerably smaller and lighter in weight.

Kevin,
Welcome to the message boards. If the weight and size of your current decoys are an issue, I would definitely look into the Lesser dekes. I have had no problem taking large honkers over the lesser decoys and I know that some guys hunt strictly over Lessers dekes with alot of success. I like the addition of Lesser's to my spread as it helps represent a real flock of geese that are of different size. Trust me, you wont go wrong with the Lesser dekes, they'll pull the big guys in.

Lessers are the real deal. Smaller size - takes up less room and is easier to carry.
Thanks,
mike.

yup go with lessers. they are sweet decoys man. I dont have alot of decoys as i just got into it last year, but i bought a dozen lessers and you can fit all of them into a six slot bag. Its nice since you can carry more into a field (especially if its a long walk)

Jason is dead on!! Be glad they aren't easier, because if they were, everybody would do it in your area!!

The majority of my spread is consisted of FFD Lessers for this very reason. Their smaller size is a defiant plus when it comes to packing them in or transporting them in boat or in the back of a truck. Here in North Mississippi, rarely do we see a large migration of Canada geese... Our honker population is mainly consisted of larger resident Canada geese and the Lesser decoys work very well for us. Not to mention, the different head positions add that much more realism to the spread.
By the way, welcome to the message boards. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I hope you have a great season!

Thanks for the replies and info guys, I appreciate it. Last night I ended up buying 6 active FFD Lessers and I love them. And then I saw a 6 pack of fullbody active mallards and just had to have them too. Thanks again guys!

Can't wait to use my new fullbody mallards this year. I think they are gonna be the real deal on some of our early season local mallards.
