I just ordered a neck gaiter and it is half as thick as the old avery ones. Is the thick model not produced anymore?
Thanks

Land,
News to me.
I'm sure someone that's in the know will chime in shortly.

They changed a while back. Our original models did not have any kind of material that blocked the wind. These are a little thinner, but block the wind with less bulk.

Thanks,

I have both the older model and the newer, thinner, model. Honestly, the newer model is warmer than the thicker one and more comfortable as well. It also seems to be tailored better around the neckline, so it doesn't spin around my neck everytime I turn my head, like my older one did.

I have to agree with Chris. The newer Fleece Neck Gaiters are warmer and more comfortable then the originals. Just my opinion.

I really like the new style of Neck Gaiter with the wind blocker in it. I also like the thinner fleece for comfort as well.

The wind blocker is a great addition, but the best thing about them is that the material doesn't get those little balls or pills up as the fleece ages. Wear mine everyday, but wish it was colder to where I had to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a little brisk over the weekend so I decided to try it out. Boy, was it warm and wind proof! Fits well too. When I think of all the winter mornings I've boated up river freezing my cheeks, nose, and ears in 20 degree weather. Well like the man says, "too soon old and too late smart." If you hunt ducks or geese in the winter wind, do yourself a big favor and pick one of these up. You won't regret it.
