It was one of those days in the wild west. I've been focusing on duck hunts lately before our ponds freeze up and the "Honker" bug has been growing and growing inside me for weeks but I just hadn't had a good opportunity in the past month to get after the honks. These geese had been using this particular silage field for nearly 3 weeks, but due to big game season the farmer wanted to wait for his daughter to fill her deer tag before we could get in there to hunt. I kept my fingers crossed that the field wouldn't get fed out as the geese slowly began feeding off the edges.........

We nailed it just right this morning and had one of those days you wait for as a waterfowler. 3 of us shared in the fun and will remember it for a long time to come. Hope you enjoy the pics and have fun out there...

Very cool pictures. I ran into a guy at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton last week that hunted with you this year. He said his group had an awesome time.

Awesome pictures. It is unbelievable to hunt a field that the geese have been using for that long. I am sure that they did not hesitate when you guys were hunting. It looks that way at least. Congrats on the great hunt and keep the pics coming.
