Rainy Day Blues

More like rainy day SILVER!! Last minute change in plans ended up with me on a solo hunt this morning in the rain. That's right, rain in the rockies on December 1st!!!! Perfect duck day on my Mallard Hole and the first bird of the morning made me do a double take when I saw the band. We are lucky enough to have a good number of banded honkers in my area, but banded ducks on the Western Slope are few and far between. I sure am glad I was out alone because there would have been one heck of a mudwrestling match over this bird....

That is a killer Pic with the dog holding the bird. you should think about having someone paint that and get it fraimed. Still working on my first duck band.

nice hunt! congrats on the band, also. Those hunts are what make it all worth it. We sat out this morning too in the rain here in kansas shot a 2 man limit of greenheads while everyone else thought that it was going to be nasty out with freezing rain, well either way i always say that you get rewarded for the times that you go out in that nasty hard to hunt weather, and you should showed everyone that its true. keep up the good work
