Saving the Season

Iowa north zone closes on Thursday and up until yesterday it'd been the worst duck season I've ever had. Was about ready to sell all of my stuff and take up bow hunting, but the season has been saved - in 2 days time.

BSing in the field after we'd finished up today and the snow wall hit. Mallards started pourning into the field - 10 minutes straight - and landing less than 200 yrds from the trucks. Easily 2000 birds on the ground when it was all said and done...

Ive only experienced feild hunting for ducks a couple times, but it has got to be the funnest way to shoot mallards, great shoots and nice pictures!
