So this weekend started off slow on saturday when we set up for canadas in a field where there had been about 500 birds feeding. Over night we got a cold snap and lake effect snow and when morning came we saw thousands of birds, unfortunantly they were all flying North to South at about 500ft. We changed gears for sunday and my neighbor Pat and I decided to meet my Dad on Seneca lake to shoot some ducks and after that hopefully a deer. The day went as planned and we saw hundreds of mallards and all got our limits including one Black. We changed gears and headed for the woods and about an hour into the hunt to big does ran by me and after a couple shots both layed in a pile 10ft from each other. With lots of red meat on the ground we headed home with decoys and deer.
