This morning was good with large flocks of ringnecks and teal buzzing us before shooting time. Quickly after loading the guns we took two drake mallards which broke the ice (literally). We were bombed with huge groups of gadwall and mallards all morning and ended with three gadwalls eating some steel for breakfast. Throughout the day we had singles and doubles which included a drake widgeon and a drake pintail. The day endend with my buddy shooting his first bull canvasback and me shooting a huge drake goldeneye . All in all a good hunt(besides the ice we had to break in the morning) but was all worth sitting in the snow.
