Which ones?

I am looking to get a dozen FFD elite goose dekes. They will basiclly be all I will use to hit and run the fields around here as the geese are really flying. Which ones (Lookers,active, feeders) and how many do yu recommend? I just ordered my first layout, a Finisher in MODB, from Macks and expect it Fri. I was going to go to Gamemasters in Quincy, IL to get the dekes. The guy in SD who sold the other guy the hat had some pretty good deals, but would like them asap. Do you know if Preselys has these also? Or a good/better place to get them. Also, are the new non-flocked bodies agood/better choice? I havent done much goose hunting in the past 5 yrs., and it seems everything has changed. It used to be Bigfoot,Bigfoot, Bigfoot, but the FFDs look nice now. The corn fields i will hunt are mostly tilled up, rough, and muddy( if that has a bearing on the choices). I live about a mile from the river and the geese are coming out to feed in the fields pretty heavy. Will that be enough dekes? I have 2doz floaters I can mix in if that will help. If it were me, I would buy a harvester pack and a feeder pack. This will cover all the needs with only a doz.

That's a good suggestion from Ryan.

I'd say definately stick with the FFDs. From my experience hunting a lot of tilled fields like you described, FFDs are the answer. The geese seem to respond better in the plowed fields to FFDs than they do to painted decoys.

I went to pick those up today and they werent in stock. I got a harvester and feeder pack of lessers instead. Do you think that they will work ok for the reg/big sized geese? Another member recmd them innstead as geese reportedly dont recognise size. Is that correct?

The lessers will work just as effective as the honkers.
