Ok I have read about the Decota decoy company,Hard Core, DSD,GHG,big foot,FA and a couple of others. For the best for my money I would like to get the best decoy. I would like any opinions as to paint how durable it is, flocking and relative size of these decoys. The reason I am asking is because I will be retiring from the USMC soon and I dont want to have purchase crap decoys.
Please give me your honest thoughts.

IMO, for what its worth, the FFD lesser is by far the best bang for your buck on the market. The small size works just as effective on big honkers, the fully flocked body gives you the extra edge, and the smaller size makes them easy to transport. I have put mine through a heavy season of use and they are holding up well. No paint issues with the FFD's if they are taken care of properly and that goes for any full body decoy now days.

Ryans got it pegged right here. The FFD's work, plain and simple. I have some FFD's that have two seasons of use (around 30 hunts) and still look good. In the some 25-30 dozen GHG decoys I have had and use I still have yet to encounter a paint problem. This includeds FB's, floaters that get tossed in and out of the boat, and even FFD crows.

I have used the lessers and love them ,due to their size, durablity and paint seam. It is like any investment if you look after it it will last a long time.
No problems with them yet.

They've got it! The FFD lessers are what you are looking for. You'll save some money, save on space and get six slot bags with every six. I consider the FFD lessers to be the pinnacle of goose decoys.

i have used bigfoot, flambeau, and even silos of several makers and recently purchased some avery full bodies and as far as i am concerned avery makes by far the best decoys on the market.
this past season we used only the doz. hunter series decoys one day and had geese landing in the decoys.
as a expirement breanna and i went out the next day and used everything we had, about 4 doz. decoys and the birds just would not work, same wind clear skies nothing different from the day before.it did not take us long to remove everything but the avery hunter series decoys and within a hour we were filled up with our 2 person limit.
i am sold on avery products,i will be buying nothing else from here on out,if space is a issue i agree with the lesser series models.
quality over quantity.

Pm me and I'll give you my opionion. I don't want to start a "these decoys are better than those decoy" war.

There are a lot of decoys on the market. As far as goose decoys are concerned, there is nothing better than the FFD LESSER. I am a full time fishing and hunting guide. I (well my clients) abuse these things and the Avery FFD Lessers have held up well for their first season of use. I was nervous to tell you the truth when I got them.
I notice NO difference in the birds reactions between the lessers and larger decoys. The FFD Lesser has my full support.
