My GF ('07 model) has the face flaps with the built-in frame which works great to keep the mesh off your face with the doors closed.

Any solution for those times when you want to be in the blind with the doors closed but have the face flaps folded away for better visibility? Other than cutting out the rods that frame the flaps?

Primary use for the blind is on public refuge/marsh areas.

Thanks

My Finisher has velcro to hold the mesh back.

Do the GF's not have velcro?

no the gfs do not hae that velcro to keep them open...they have the velcro to keep them shut...i did a little mod on mine and had velcro sewed in onto mine and then i just used the velcro on the mesh to connect it...it isnt that hard you just have to have a sewer that knows what they are doing!!

I used to do the same thing that you did until one hunt with Fred. He is religious about using the face flaps. Why chance a little facial glare to mess up a flock or even a whole hunt. Once you get use to them, you won't go back.
