decoy question

a buddy of mine was gonna buy a few decoys and he want the pro grade honkers, he wants 4 lookers, 6 actives and 18 feeders, i told him that would look like a good spread, but do you think that you need more feeders??

From what I've read from these board, people recommend a 2:1 feeder to active ratio, but they say a 3:1 ratio is just as good.

I'm not field hunting master so I'm not 100% sure, I'm just going off what I have heard.

I think that should be ok. People have different preferences. Some like 3:1, while others like 50/50. Personally, I like what he wants for a spread, but try talking him into FFD Lessers.;)

To each their own I guess. The only decoys that I am very careful with is the lookers. Each one of them have a purpose.
