Hey all,

I am currently a graduate student in Illinois and am thinking about applying for a pro-staffer position for Avery. I've already received the application, but I'd like to ask a few of you guys who have some year under their belt what it actually requires. First off, I'd like to make everyone aware of what I'd like to bring to Avery and the general waterfowling public. 1. To share my knowledge of waterfowl hunting with others, 2. To encourage other users to utilize Avery products while hunting, and 3. To hunt ethically to ensure years of enjoyment by not just us, but by our children. I have been using Avery products for quite some time and feel that they are in fact the best on the market. My main questions revolve around how much time I, as a pro-staffer, would have to make available for the organization. Being a graduate student means my first committment is my research, being done on birds, and my classes. That being said, I make quite a bit of time (ok, a lot of time) to enjoy my passion, which is waterfowling. I'm on my 8th year of waterfowl hunting and have acquired a ton of knowledge by hunting with so many people, from rookies to old-timers that can tell you everything you need to know about hunting. So, on to my questions. 1. How much time do you need to invest into the company by eithering going to events, helping unload trucks, and etc; 2. If you have to travel for events, are you reimbursed gas and lodging; and 3. Do you, as pro-staffers, feel that you have given back to the watefowling community?

Thanks,

Mark

A similar question was asked back in April of '07. Take a look at the replies for a candid response from several Pro-Staffers.

If you are passionate about waterfowling, and what Avery/GHG offers to the outdoor products market you should apply!
