People get pretty worked up over there about this guy's pond. Jealous. I know I am.

Paul has got a great thing going there. His property is a very fine example of what happens when an individual takes the initiative to integrate a wildlife management plan into a hunting business. Sad thing is that there are thousands of places just like it that could be as great, but they are poorly managed and overhunted

lots of people on the fuge complain about him..most are just jealous but i do see where they are coming from a bit. He does like to promote his decoys and his pond with all his sucess. He sometimes says he had a bad day and the birds were really smart but yet they still got their limit only because of his decoys. He consistently gets limits there, so i dont see how you can have a bad day. He says birds flare from the click of the safety on the shotgun when they are still 30 yards away and im pretty sure he only lets the guys shoot 2 3/4 inch shells since he believes anything bigger spooks them while they are at the refuge a little bit away from his pond. Also people are complaining saying that what he is doing is baiting since he grows a lot of barley in the field around the pond and leaves it standing for the ducks. Other than that, i commend him on the success of his pond, he knows what hes doing for sure

It is not baiting. How many guys flood a corn field and do the same thing. He is a sponsor of that site and can promote what ever the sit e owners allow. Most of the complainers overthere are driven by envy and that is all. I would love to investigate his methods in person and report back...

i didnt say he baits. im saying people are complaining out of jealousy saying that he is basically baiting to hold the birds there. I have no problem with the guy, he knows what hes doing and he conisistely provides his clients with limits of mallards.
