So what is wrong with shooting a Benelli? No one seems to know a definate answer? I've shot a Benelli for the past 7 years and have had no problems.

Whats an "advise" band?? ;)

An avise band is the older style band before they started putting the call 1-800 style bands. This is an avise band off of a Speck that a club member killed this year that was banded in 1993.

That's Nice!!

Bickering about clothing and accessories. :D You're killing me.

SBEs? I'd rather stick with my trusty 870, or a Stoeger 2000. No need to pay the price of a used car for a shotgun. Granted, if my life depended on my weapon, I'd put a little more money into it.

All autos, will malfunction at some point if you don't clean 'em. Even the most 'reliable' weapons need to be cleaned. That being said, I've seen an SBE with the camo all scratched off, down to BARE metal, and it cycled GREAT, but I would not fault the weapon if it malfunctioned.

I have an SBE I, its never jammed..But other then that I'm not overly impressed it....

For a gun marketed towards waterfowlers...It leaves MUCH to be desired.

The Finish is HORRIBLE..

The stock fills with water.

You have to either let the action slam shut or manually push the ejector into place or it wont fire

I think it kicks the same as any other gun

My buddy has a SBEII..Lets just say half the time its a single shot.

I always read about folks and their Benelli problems.

Single shot, finish, etc-etc-etc.

Shoot a SBE for ducks, shoot a Super Sport (9k clay targets last year), shoot a Cordoba for upland, shoot a 20ga Cordoba as well.

Never a problem, never a issue.

Wonder why that is.

Guess I'm lucky.

Nah....the gun is just that good.

I find the Benelli issues odd too.
I would be the first to complain about problems and point them out but I really Love my SBEII. It hasnt jammed yet and I have covered it in water and mud and didnt clean it for like over 100 shots yet still not one single jam.
I probably shot over 500 rounds through it now and not one jam.

I will say though I have experienced the dreaded bolt isnt all the way home senario and that cost me some ducks. It seems if you bump the action lever then sometimes it wont fire. Then you have to pull it back and let it slam shut to fix it. I have never had it happen when the gun cycles but only after I was moving around alot and bumped the action lever hard enough to pull the bolt back a bit.

I havent had problems with the finish on the SBEII but I think its alot different then the finish on the SBEI. That might have been one of the things they fixed with the SBEII. A guy I know has an SBEI and his finish looks grey and is missing in alot of places.

He did it with his pump and auto when I saw him. He puts on a great show. In my opinion a lot better than the beretta guy I think his name is Scott Robertson
